90 degree long radius elbow
Steel butt welded elbow can be divided to 90 degree long radius elbow, 90 degree short radius elbow, 45 degree long radius elbow, 45 degree short radius elbow, 180 degree long radius elbow and 180 degree short radius elbow. Elbow is one type of pipe fitting which is commonly used for pipeline to change the direction of pipes. Long radius means the radius of curvature of elbows is 1.5 times of diameter, and short radius means the radius of curvature of elbows is equal to the diameter. 90 degree long radius is the most commonly used, the default is generally long radius, which is generally adopted at the high pressure or high velocity places. If the strict requirements of the pipeline resistance of solid time should use more larger radius. Short radius is usually used in low pressure fluid or elbow is limited in installation. If there is no condition limit or if not specified in the contract, 90 degree long radius elbow should be preferred.
