ABB SafeRing/SafePlus SF6 Insulation Ring-network Cabinet and Compact Switchgear

1. General

SafeRing and SafePlus are SF6 insulation ring-network main unit and compact switch used in medium-voltage distribution network respectively. SafeRing is a ring-network main unit. SafeRing can configure up to 6 modules in the same SF6 insulation gas chamber to supply maximum 16 fixed combination modes for distribution to adapt to  most of the places with ring-network needed. SafeRing combinations are:( DF, CF, CCC, CCF, CFC, FCC,CCCC, CCCF, CCFF, CFFC, CCVV, CCCCC, CCFFF,CCCFF, CCCCF, CCCCCC).

SafePlus is a kind of compact switchgear. SafePlus can configure up to 6 modules in the same SF6 insulation gas chamber. If the modules are more than six, use extended  buses to connect the switchgears to form semi-modular structure, or use extended buses among all the modules to form full-modular configuration. Distribution plans from simple to complex can be developed via nine different functional modular combinations to meet various configuration requirements of secondary substations and switching station. SafePlus modules types are: C, De, D, F, V, SL, SvBr, Be, M, CB.SafeRing and SafePlus include a stainless steel cabinet where  all the electrical parts and switch functions are integrated.
