It is anticipated that the HSE will change its Code of Practice and guidance to recommend the new BS-8599 standard kit content as the recommended content for employers, replacing the kit contents set out in 1997. 

Employers are required to make a risk assessment to decide what the hazard levels are and how many employees are involved in the area to be covered, This is a useful guide provided to help match this risk assessment to an appropriate size kit.
