About PCO2 Products:

PCO2 is a registered trade name for a new polymer resin developed by Huasheng using Polypropylene Carbonate (PPC) as one of the major ingredients. To capture its good biodegradation feature, Huasheng has successfully developed compounding technology and capacity using other corresponding degradation ingredients, and specifically commercializes this new environmentally-friendly Polymer in film extrusion application.

Huasheng markets and sells both PCO2 resin as well as its extruded products such as shopping bags, take-out bags, can-liners, die-cut bags etc. Our products gauges as low as 20 micron, and compost test results from BPI approved lab shows 99.77% disintegration in 90 days under compost conditions. Our PCO2 resin requires no additional equipment configuration from extruding normal olefins.

1.What is PCO2 made from?

PBAT: polybutylene adipate-co-terephthalate, a polycondensation product of succinic acid and 1,4-butanediol, and chain extended by 1,4-butanediol and toluene diisocyanate, its number average molecular weight is 120-180 kg/mol.

PPC, polypropylene carbonate, a copolymer of CO2 and propylene oxide, its number average molecular weight of 120 -150 kg/mol, polydispersity index of 3-5, and CO2 content of over 40wt%.

PLA: poly lactic acid,made from corn starch

2.I see your bags are labeled “COMPOSTABLE”. What does that mean and what is the difference between Compostable and Biodegradable?

PCO2 products are certified compostable meaning they can be consumed by micro-organisms in an industrial setting and meet the testing specifications found in theEN13432. Our bags are digested by these microbial bacteria, along with food and yard waste, to become soil or fertilizer. Some of our products are even home compost certified (European) and can be composted in your home composter.

3.What happens to PCO2 products in the landfill?

Like ALL things (including food waste, paper and all else), Virtually Nothing.

4. what is your bags shelf life and how to storage

All PCO2 bags will have 6 month shelf life but all depends on the temprature and

humidity of the storage place,we advise storage them in the cool and dry warehouse ,seal well and avoide direct sunshing
