1. About pearl necklace lengths
Conventionlly they are 43cm and 46cm. Some middle long pearl necklaces are 50cm, 65cm and 80cm.
Long pearl necklaces can reach 100cm and 120cm.

2. About pearl sizes
Pearl sizes vary from 1mm to 18mm, some super big seawater pearls can reach 20cm.
Conventionally we divide pearl sizes at 1mm degree, such as 1-2mm, 2-3mm, 3-4mm, 4-5mm....14-15mm, 15-16mm etc.
Sometimes we also divide pearls as 1-1.5mm, 1.5-2mm, 2-2.5mm....and 14.5-15mm, 15-15.5mm and so on.

3. About pearl shapes

5. About pearls grades and quality
We habitually call pearls such as AAA or AAAA pearls to distinguish the quality. What do these A mean?
(1) The first A means the shape of the pearls.
A means perfect round, A1 means round, A2 means nearly round, B means oblate, C means oval or rice shape, E means baroque.
For example, 9-10mm A1ABA pearl necklace means this necklace is made of 9-10mm round pearls.
(2) The second A means the lustre of the pearls.
A means very strong lustre, A+ means extremely strong specular reflection lustre, B means middle strong luctre.
(3) The third A means the surface smoothness of the pearls.
