Glass reinforcing geotexile are geocomposite combinations of a fiber glass grid and a nonwoven geotextile with good adhesion to bitumen, performs the function of reinforcement, anti-cracking and barrier.


Feature
• Convenient in construction
• The fiberglass mesh ensures a maximum elongation of 4%, equal with the bitumen elongation, between the elastic state and the plastic state and network form, provides to the geocomposite fret quality that fulfill the reinforcing function of the layer bedding above it;
• The geotextile was manufactured in order to absorb an optimum quantity of pure bitumen/ bituminous emulsion, thus being transformed into a barrier against water infiltrations from upper layers to the base layers.
• Stops crack propagation to upper layers therefore increasing the life cycle of roads;


Application
• Reinforcement and anti-cracking layer positioned between the bituminous layers or cement concrete and the wear layer;
• Anti-cracking layer on top of road foundation made out of ballast stabilized with cement or lean concrete and simple or double bituminous treatments.
• Anti-cracking layer for simple or double bituminous treatments, for longer life cycle;
• Arming of bitumen layers on widened roads, against crack propagation;
• Road rehabilitation, between the wear layer and degraded wear.
