Introduction:

Lutein are antioxidants found in many plants and vegetables including red pepper and cabbage etc. Lutein are yellow pigment belongs to the carotenoid family. Although they are not categorized as a vitamin, dietary Lutein are believed to be essential nutrients for normal vision. Lutein can reduce the risk of age related vision loss by protecting the retina from damage of the photo-oxidative affection of blue light. Lutein can reduce the oxidation of LDL cholesterol thereby reducing the risk of artery clogging.
