BMC Molding
BMC molding is very similar to SMC molding, except using a different material that is called Bulk Molding Compound (BMC). It is the same, a closed molding process, with a hydraulic press, a heated steel fabricated tooling, and BMC material. Molding parameters temperature, pressure needed, cycle time are also in the same range as SMC molding. Metal inserts are also able to be molded in. BMC material has even better flow ability than SMC material, so it can be used for even more complex component production. Typically BMC molding serves switchgear, circuit breaker, electronic, industries. It is more for complex and small component production.
