SMC Manhole Covers
Sheet molding compound (SMC) material manhole covers are designed to fully meet requirements of EN124:1994 standards, replacing cast iron manhole covers. Comparing to cast iron manholes covers, SMC manhole covers are about 30%-40% less weight. This reduces firstly the costs of transportation, handling and installation.

SMC material is weather resistant, acid rain resistant, water proof, UV stable, which makes the serving life of SMC manhole covers over 30 years. Along the life time, no maintenance is necessary which saves another cost. Because there is no after-value of SMC manhole covers, it is not attractive to thieves. This solves a big safety issue in many countries.
