Precautions during LED storage and usage

LED is very sensitive electronic components, so must be very careful during storage and usage, otherwise it will cause the damp LED, puncture or death. And a lot of problem LEDs only can be found during usage.
Storage:
1. Moisture proof and anti-electrostatic package with moisture absorbent material must be used, to keep moisture usually can keep for 1 year if not open the package.
2. Before opening the package, the LED should be kept at 30? or less and humidity less than 60%RH.
3. After opening the package, the products should be soldered with 24 hours. If not, please store at 30 degree or less and humidity less than 10%RH. It is recommended that the LED be operated at the workshop condition of =30? and humidity less than 60%RH.
4. If the moisture absorbent material has fade away or the LEDs HAVE exceeded the storage time, baking treatment should be performed based on the 80±5? for 24 hours.
Static electricity during usage:
Static electricity or surge voltage may damage the LEDs, damaged LED will show some unusual characteristics such as the forward voltage becomes lower, or the LED not light at the low current, or can’t be light up.
All devices equipment and machinery must be properly grounded, at the same time, it is recommended that wrist bands or anti-electrostatic gloves, anti-electrostatic containers should be used during processing LEDs.
