1-MCP completely complies with the European Regulation and US EPA


In the classification of REGULATION (EC) No 1272/2008, there is no dangerous substance according to GHS.

In the classification of 67/548/EEC and 1999/45/EC, there is no dangerous substance according to Directive 67/548/EEC.


In many scientific papers from every countries, there is no direct or indirect evidence to certify that 1-MCP have harm to human health.

Even though it is safe under normal use, in emergence cases, we should know the first aid mesures :

  • If breathed in, move person into fresh air. If symptoms persist, call a physician.

  • In case of skin contact, take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Wash off with soap and water. If symptoms persist, call a physician.

  • In case of eye contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water, also under the eyelids. Remove contact lenses. If eye irritation persists, consult a specialist.

  • If swallowed, health injuries are not known or expected under normal use.
