?Detailed Product Description

PU8636 is one component auto glass polyurethane adhesive, mainly use for repairing and replacement of windshield and side glass.

?Operation

Notice

1. The primer is necessary to use before gluing.

2. It needs to be tested before using this adhesive, primer and cleaner etc. to bond the basic material, to make sure they have good compatibility. And make sure that the adhesive, primer and cleaner are qualified product within shelf life.

3.Please application strictly according to the application technology, any wrong steps may cause the failure of the bonding

4.The primer bottle needs to be shaking up and down for making it even at the first using. Brush evenly the primer to be full covering and take a full consideration of the contact width between adhesive and basic material. Make sure that the width of primer is larger than the adhesive.

5.The primer can’t be used if opening more than 3 hours.

Operation tools and materials

1.Operation tools: Air or hand guns, paper knife, steel wire, cotton ball.

2.Bonding materials: PU8636 auto glass adhesive, cleaner, primer, masking tape. ( 310ml cartridge adhesive use with 4ml cleaner and 4ml primer).

3.Environment: proper operation temperature: 5-35?, humidity 35%-85%.

Windshield replacement

1. Remove decorative rubber strip: Remove the decorative rubber strips from the all sides of windshield and clean the strips.

2. Stick protection tape: Stick the tapes around the windshield for avoiding the car body from getting scratch when reassembling the auto glass.

3. Reassemble auto glass: Use wire to cut the adhesive on the glass, take the broken glass down.

Notice: Don’t touch the car body, avoid scratching the paint on the body.

4. Use tools like knife or scraper knife to clean the remained adhesive on the frame.

5. Assemble test: Pretend to put the glass on the frame to check if the glass can fit the frame and mark the position.

6. Basic material cleaning: Use glass cleaner to clean up the new windshield.

7. Pretreatment of basic material: 1) Use absorbent cotton cloth to dip a little cleaner, clean along the glue parts of the auto glass and frame to make sure that there's no oil,dust and other impurities. 2) Stick the inside of glue parts with sponge rubber strip or protective paper tape for

protection and avoid the pollution of non-glue parts when press the adhesive. 3) Brush the primer on the cleaned edge of auto glass, the width should be 1.5-2.0 times larger than the glue

width.( the curing time of primer is 10 mim)

8. Assemble rubber strip: Assemble decorative rubber strip around the glass.

9. Preparation before adhesive operation: use knife to cut a proper triangle mouth on the nozzle(the size of the triangle mouth will influence the width and height of the adhesive strip, see detail in the chart below).Then use sharp goods like screwdriver to impale the top and bottom of

the cartridge, put the cutting nozzle on the top and screw down, then put it into the glue gun;

10. After the primer is dry, use the gun to glue the adhesive evenly on the glue parts.Put the thickness location blocks into the glued adhesive strip, the width of the block should be slightly smaller than the glue width, the amount is depending on the needs.

11. Before the surface dry of the adhesive, put the auto glass on the hold block, adjust the position of auto glass from left, right, up and down to make the around gap even. Push the auto glass tightly to let the air window and the around of seam allowance be a plane.

12. Use tape to fix the auto glass, fill the gap between the glass and frame with adhesive rubber or adhesive

13. Safe driving away time after assembling auto glass ( in standard condition): 3 hours.

Notice

1. Avoid moisture, rain, sunshine and high temperature, away from heat source, handle with care and avoid pushing and crashing.

2. The adhesive is non-toxic after cured. Avoid contacting with eye and skin before curing, or scrubbing immediately with soap water or alcohol, then wash with water. In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately.

3. Influence by unproper use and bad conditions: bad ventilate or low humidity will slow the curing.
